Developer Added to Translink Board

Translink has appointed a West Van real estate developer to its board of directors.

In a move to perhaps support the direction Translink wants to move in - using real estate development along transit corridors as a source of funds - Howard Nemtin has been appointed to the board for a three year term.

Mr. Nemtin, who is president and owner of Nemtin Consultants Ltd., has over thirty years experience in real estate development consulting and also brings experience as a commercial mediator to TransLink’s Board. He served with the Whistler Mountain Ski Corporation where he was responsible for their real estate strategy and was an economic development advisor to the BC Ministry of Economic Development.

Two other board members, Cindy Chan Piper (a Vancouver urban planner), and Bob Garnett (a Richmond accountant) have been reappointed for three year terms.
